Privacy policy

1. Introduction

Your Aviation Wingman (FZE) ("we", "us") is an aviation education and coaching company registered in the United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what we collect when you visit this site or buy the Guide, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is deliberately short because we collect very little.

2. What we collect

When you buy the Guide: your email address, your name if you enter one at checkout, the country and last four digits of your card as reported by Stripe, the amount paid, the time of purchase, and a record of when the download link was created and used. Card numbers are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our systems.

When you browse the site: standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and pages viewed, through basic analytics and server logs.

When you email us: whatever you choose to write, and your email address.

We do not collect health, medical, financial or other sensitive personal data, and we ask you not to send it to us.

3. Why we collect it

To deliver the Guide and the download link you paid for. To send you updated editions of the Guide if we release them. To answer your emails. To detect fraud, duplicate payments and abuse of download links. To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. To meet our legal and accounting obligations under UAE law.

We may occasionally email buyers about closely related products from Your Aviation Wingman. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects your access to the Guide.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run this product: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), our hosting and database provider, and basic analytics. Each processes data on our instructions. We also disclose data where UAE law or a court requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.

5. Where it is stored and international transfers

Our company is in the UAE and our service providers operate globally. By using this site you consent to your data being processed in the UAE and in the countries where those providers operate, which may have different data protection laws from your own.

6. Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls and a private storage bucket with expiring signed links for the Guide file. No internet system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable care.

7. Retention

Purchase records are kept for as long as needed to provide updates to the Guide, resolve disputes and meet legal record keeping duties, then deleted or anonymised. Email correspondence is kept for a reasonable period and then deleted.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@youraviationwingman.com from the address you used at checkout. Deleting your purchase record means we can no longer resend your download link or send updates.

9. Age

The Guide is sold to adults. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must make the purchase and this policy applies to them.

10. Cookies

The site uses only the cookies needed for it to work and for basic analytics. You can block cookies in your browser; the checkout, which runs on Stripe, may need them to function.

11. Links

The site links to third party sites, including Stripe and youraviationwingman.com. Their privacy practices are their own.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.

13. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, with the courts of Sharjah having exclusive jurisdiction.
